Dinah Zike's Big Book of Texas History K-7
This book is organized into four sections with 40 pages in full-color. The first section introduces Foldables and how they work. Section two gives step-by-step instructions on how to make 34 basic Foldables, with over 100 full-color photographed examples. The third section of the book lists thousands of ideas for teaching Texas History specific topics using Foldables, and includes five black-line art examples on each page. In the final section, Dinah has provided 75 pages of reproducible graphics of people, places, events, and icons for use in Texas History projects and every-day classroom work.
Works well for both 4th grade and 7th grade standards.

Before retiring, I used Dinah Zike materials for many years . Now buying for my daughters and their homeschooling needs. The Big Book of Texas History is fantastic. There is such a wide variety of ideas to span several grade levels. I wish I had seen it for my own 4th grade Social Studies. I highly recommend this activity book for public or homeschool teachers.
Excellent tool for teaching Texas History

I teach fourth grade in Texas and this is a very good resource! Some very good ideas. I love it because I have a hard time creating activities for social studies.
