Product Description

This Notebooking Central booklet contains templates on topics including: response starters, text connections, inferring, summarizing, characterization, and a section on literature circles--please see Table of Contents for complete list of topics.

This booklet includes templates that span a broad grade range, from grades three through 12--these classroom-tested ideas can make literature response notebooks come alive in three-dimensions in the hands of students! Templates include those that guide students' personal response to literature as well as tools for utilizing literature circles in the classroom (including roles and responsibilities). Some of the templates have been used very successfully as writing prompts.

I've used Zike foldables before and was looking for something more specific. This is exactly what I needed!

I just received my book in the mail, and I am so excited to use with my students. My students already do journals for reading, but I think this will make our notebooks more engaging. When I showed my students this year, they we excited too and said they wished that they got to use them. The only thing that I am slightly bummed about is that some of the foldables seem like they need some explanation as to how to use them with curriculum. I haven't been to any of the trainings, so maybe that's why I don't know what the intended use for each one is. But for the most part, I can use a lot of them without any instructions. I also like the sample photos at the front that show how some should look when glued in the notebook. Overall, I am looking forward to using them with my students!
